Welcome to our quiet hilltop sanctuary
I invite you into the unhurried rhythms of our stone village, where morning bells echo across olive groves and my two historic homes await your arrival.

Location
Castelmuzio, Val d'Orcia
Benvenuti. Welcome to my corner of Tuscany.
I am Isabella Barlocher, and for generations my heart has belonged to the stone alleys and olive groves of Castelmuzio. When you arrive here, you are not checking into a hotel; you are stepping through an open door into a living home.
My two properties—Casa Moricciani and Le Casine di Castello—were lovingly restored to celebrate the authentic rhythms of the Val d'Orcia. From panoramic terraces overlooking the valley to quiet morning espresso in the hamlet square, every detail is prepared personally for you.

Hamlet Village Cottages
Le Casine di Castello
Intimate, stone-built retreats tucked right into the peaceful historic center of Castelmuzio village.
Two distinct ways to belong in Tuscany
Whether you are gathering the entire family under one welcoming roof or seeking a quiet, romantic retreat for two, I have prepared each room with the same attention and warmth I would offer my dearest friends.

Casa Moricciani
The Historic Village Residence
My family home perched upon the ancient village ramparts, where the stone terrace commands endless views across the golden hills toward Montalcino. Filled with treasured heirlooms, sunlit morning rooms, and spaces to gather around a shared bottle of Brunello.

Le Casine di Castello
The Restored Medieval Cottages
Quiet, romantic hideaways nestled along the quiet cobblestone alleys of our hilltop hamlet. Each casina has been lovingly restored with original beamed ceilings, terracotta floors, and private garden courtyards for peaceful Tuscan afternoons.
“If you are unsure which home best fits your journey, simply write to me. I will guide you toward the stay that matches your rhythm.”
Isabella Barlocher — Castelmuzio

A quiet sanctuary cradled by the Val d'Orcia hills.
Perched high on a quiet tufa ridge between Pienza and Montepulciano, Castelmuzio is a living medieval village untouched by the hurried pace of modern life. Here, morning arrives with the fragrance of sun-warmed stone and silver olive orchards rustling in the valley breeze.
When I opened my doors here, my wish was simple: to welcome travelers not as mere visitors, but as cherished houseguests into the authentic, gentle rhythm of our Tuscan home.
A Personal Welcome
Come stay with me in Castelmuzio
